I ring, my husband doesn’t. But he can’t always avoid me talking to him about it. He frequently complains that all the explanations he has ever read about ringing use so many technical terms that they are inexplicable to the non-ringer (so somewhat self defeating)! I don’t think he can have looked in Wikipedia as this appears to be an excellent piece with any jargon being explained before it is used in anger!
